Fast: tryda^TM is fast…much faster than a browser-based search. The tryda^TM application resides on your phone, so it opens instantly and allows you to submit your query and receive your response within seconds. No need to wait for browser or map pages to load before you can get started. Get maps or directions, as well.

Efficient: tryda^TM is very lightweight, with a very small memory footprint. Plus, because the application and many of your settings, preferences and templates are in resident memory, the amount of data that passes over the mobile network is minimized, further speeding the response.

Free to Download and Use: If you have an unlimited data plan through your mobile carrier, there is no added cost to you to use tryda^TM. If you have a data plan that is not unlimited, you will incur data charges from your carrier when using it. But tryda^TM minimizes the amount of data transferred because much of what you see is already in your device’s memory and it doesn’t load data-intensive maps from the Web just to get a result (you can do that after you get your results). This speeds up the process, and conserves your data usage, saving you time and money.

tryda^TM Version History

Version 1.08

• Added support for proxy server-based access (for certain T-mobile users)
• Added Clear Data feature in Main Menu - clears user's registration screen on the device only (prevents having to delete, reinstall if you wish to re-register)
• Bug fix: Directions database will eventually become corrupt and cause a reset

Version 1.07

• Added a data backup and restore feature. This allows the user to either back up his/her data manually, or automatically each time the application exits. The data is backed up to the SD card, and can be used to restore all your tryda data in the event of having to do a reinstall after a hard reset or moving to a new device.
• Directions now viewable in tryda^TM.
• Change email function (in tryda^TM only, not on the Web).
• Change password function (in tryda^TM only, not on the Web).
• Added forgot password service to tryda^TM (was already on the Web).
• Added some validation for properly formed email addresses, plus elimination of possible embedded carriage returns (return key mistakenly hit at end of email field).
• Added expanded edit capability for potentially long fields such as email addresses, to avoid the confusion of scrolling the text "off the end" of a field.
• Added the text "Main Menu" to the main menu page's title bar.
• Removed the leading spaces from the icon name. The application will no longer sort to the top of the launcher list.
• Now checks to see if the GoogleMaps.prc file on the SD card is actually an installer, and if so does not attempt to execute it.

Version 1.05

• Registration page changes: All email and password fields moved to 2nd page. Provide 2 email address and 2 password fields and verify that they match, to avoid inadvertent data entry errors. Also no longer displays password on screen in clear text - instead user must click on a trigger box that either says "Assigned" or "Unassigned", depending on whether the password has been entered.
• When using the Save to Favorites feature, the favorite name is pre-populated based on the search criteria used to create the results.
• Miscellaneous UI and usability tweaks.
